Date: 11-12-2017 to 13-12-2017

Description: Winter School 2017- Digital and the Everyday: From Codes to Cloud by Center for IT and Public Policy was held at IIIT Bangalore from 11th-13th December 2017.

The Winter School adopted an interdisciplinary approach to unpack and analyse different elements of our digitally mediated social existence. The questions it raised were: What are the building blocks of these digital networks? Are they just a combination of software and hardware, or do they involve infrastructure, regulations, policy frameworks, institutional mechanism and much more?

This 3 day programme was attended by 22 participants from different disciplines and walks of life from within and outside Bangalore. The proceeding of this programme are now being delivered as a 4 week course on the NPTEL platform: https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in/noc18_ge01/preview
