About the talk: The talk is based on the report ‘Landscape of AI/ML Research in India’ which provides insights into the current landscape of Artificial Intelligent (AI) and Machine Learning research in India. It is based on primary interviews of 25 AI/ML researchers. Our objective of this study is to provide a nucleus for starting a dialogue among stakeholders and catalyze action to significantly move the needle in AI/ML research in India.
Speaker Bio: N Dayasindhu is the co-founder and CEO of itihaasa Research and Digital, a firm focusing on the evolution of technology domains and business history. itihaasa has just released two high impact studies on the landscape of AI/ML and Brain Science research in India. itihaasa’s flagship product is a History of Indian IT app chronicling six decades of Indian IT. Dayasindhu worked for a decade in Infosys in multiple roles. He has also had a stint as a consultant, and has led engagements focused on IT/R&D globalization and excellence. He has consulted with some of the world’s largest IT, engineering, automotive, and financial firms in the world. His research interests are industry and business history, competitiveness, innovation, industry clusters, and Indian IT. Dayasindhu’s research papers are cited over 300 times by researchers in all permanently inhabited continents of the world. Dayasindhu holds two United States patents. He is a FPM from IIM Bangalore, and a Masters in Physics from IIT Madras.
