CITAPP co-organizes the Hampi Learning Lab at IIIT Bangalore

Description: Organized on 11th December 2015, in partnership with and the Centre for IT and Public Policy (CITAPP), IIIT Bangalore.

The purpose of the Hampi Lab was to design a strategic vision that effectively addresses multiple stakeholder concerns and use the outcomes, in a longer-term, to enable, inform and guide development efforts in the Hampi World Heritage Area.

The event saw participation of architects and planners, archaeologists and conservationists, and IT professionals from the government, academia and the private and non-government sector.

CITAPP at IIIT Bangalore is an interdisciplinary think-tank set-up to focus on the policy challenges and the organizational demands made by technological innovation. Of particular interest to the Centre is how technological advances, along with institutional changes that harness the legitimacy and the powers of bureaucracies and market, address the needs of underserved communities.
