Fairwork India Team at Fairwork Global Summit, Jordan

The Oxford internet Institute, University of Oxford organised a four-day Fairwork Summit in Amman, Jordan. The event was hosted by the Phenix Center for Economic and Informatics Studies to bring together scholars and experts to discuss multiples perspective on platform economy. Prof. Janaki Srinivasan and Mounika Neerukonda were in attendance, representing the Fairwork India team at the summit while Prof. Balaji Parthasarathy joined online.

Prof. Janaki was also a part of a panel discussion ‘Towards Fair Working Conditions in the World of Platform Work’. This was a global panel of experts on who came together to share insights on the current realities and future of platform work.

CITAPP at IIIT Bangalore is an interdisciplinary think-tank set-up to focus on the policy challenges and the organizational demands made by technological innovation. Of particular interest to the Centre is how technological advances, along with institutional changes that harness the legitimacy and the powers of bureaucracies and market, address the needs of underserved communities.
