Book Talk – Janaki Srinivasan at Labour Tech Research Network

Janaki Srinivasan has been invited by the Labor Tech Research Network to give a glimpse of her book “The Political Lives of Information: Information and the Production of Development in India” as part of their Speaker series.

The Labor Tech Research Network is an interdisciplinary and transnational group of experts concerned with technology and work. The network comprises of scholars, tech workers (broadly conceived), union organizers, policy makers, journalists, non-profit researchers, activists, and more. The group is committed to sustained reflection on the promise and perils of technological developments, especially as they impact the workplace.

CITAPP at IIIT Bangalore is an interdisciplinary think-tank set-up to focus on the policy challenges and the organizational demands made by technological innovation. Of particular interest to the Centre is how technological advances, along with institutional changes that harness the legitimacy and the powers of bureaucracies and market, address the needs of underserved communities.
