by

Rajesh Kasturirangan

11:15 am – 12:45 pm, 27th January 2020 (Monday)

Venue: Room A310, IIITB campus

26/C, Electronic City, Hosur Road, Bangalore

About the talk:

From Climate Change to the CAA, we are surrounded by wicked problems that our current ways of thinking and acting aren’t able to address. Wicked problems are characterized by extreme complexity, where some stakeholders have a vested interest in keeping the system the way it is and where every pathway has moral as well as material dimensions. The session will introduce participants to wicked problems, complex systems and some of the key challenges faced by those having to respond to their wickedness. The attempt is towards the transformation of the problem ‘out there’ to the mind ‘in here.’
