Mandar’s research interests are in the areas of Economics of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), particularly spanning across the subcategories such as Diffusion of ICT and its economic effects, Indian ICT industry, Structural change and ICT, and Innovation and ICT. All these areas converge to a broader view of emergence of digital and knowledge economies and their role in socio-economic development. Mandar has a master’s degree in International Development (Economic Development Policy and Management Program) from Nagoya University, Japan. His PhD, from the Nagoya University, Japan, was in the area of economic effects of ICT on the Indian industry which explored ways in which ICT can act as a catalyst for the industrial development of India. Mandar is associated with CITAPP as a post-doctoral fellow.
